Winter Time

Winter has finally caught up with us here in Michigan. Over the past few weeks of snow storms, flurries, and feeling like I'm living in a snow globe I have given myself a challenge: How many different ways can I photograph snow? I came up with a few ideas although I'm sure I'm missing some!

Which one is your favorite?

First I tried stopping the snow in mid-air.

Then I tried macro because, and let's be honest, who doesn't like seeing the individual crystals in a snowflake??

Then I was stuck inside all day due to storm Nemo, so this is just my window.

There's something magical about snow falling at night, don't you think?

This is probably the most... different. It's melting snow on my windshield backlit by a red traffic light.

So what do you all think of this snow??

North American International Auto Show

Last week I had the incredible opportunity to attend the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI. Not only was it a great chance to ogle at cars that I can only dream about driving one day, but of course my camera accompanied me! That's enough of my talking, you're only interested in my pictures.

I managed to find a few staircases that I thought would lead to cool new things, but really they only afforded me awesome views like this one!

I'm a sucker for a Maserati.

Last but not least, Smart is apparently coming out with a Smart bike! Kind of nifty, right?

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Merry Christmas (or happy holidays) everybody! Santa was very good to me this year and I got a few tools that will help me help you get the best images possible. Now doesn't that sound fabulous??

Here's a little peak at my family's tree. You can see my parent's first anniversary ornament as well as their 25th anniversary ornament! They're still going strong after 28 years married (and 2 dating, so 30 all together!) If you look REALLY close, you can even see my ballerina pig ornament, but that's a story for another time of year, specifically Halloween!

On another note, this was the view that I woke up to on Christmas eve in Paso Robles, CA. Isn't my great aunt and uncle's vineyard stunning?

That's all for now folks! I hope your day was merry and bright! I know mine sure was because I got to spend it with my loved ones :)
